On-line Jazz Band Workshops

On-line Jazz band workshops will be taking place this fall. Contact ad@winnipegjazzorchestra.com for information about our fall workshops or click here to see when they are scheduled.

 Canadian Jazz Composers Workshop

On February 12, 2022, we will host the third Canadian Jazz Composers Workshop. Sessions by Jeff Presslaff "Randomness is Your Friend: Rolling the Dice in Jazz Composition" and David Braid "Setting Limits to Enable Music Creativity and Originality".

 Educational Video Projects - Jazz Skills

We have asked some of our experienced jazz instructors to produce short video introductions for anyone wanting to improve their skills or knowledge of jazz.​ Additional videos are posted periodically.

Play along charts

We are in the process of planning and recording student level charts that students can play along with. A new chart will be released approximately every Monday until April.
