Great American singer, songwriter and activist Aretha Franklin was a monument to the late 20th century. Having written a chapter in the American songbook, Franklin's success was recognized through countless awards and nominations. There's a story behind every success. Join us for the evening with an anecdote about one of the greats and her journey to fame. Cost is $30 for one Friday Class.

Ever wondered how a composer's mind works? Take the passenger seat in a composition and arranging workshop directed by Composer and Woodwind Specialist, Sean Irvine. Through various discussions and demonstrations, audience members will collaborate with Irvine to build the framework to a composition which may have the opportunity of being performed at the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra Carpathian Blues concert on April 26, 2020. This is one you won't want to miss! Cost is $65 which includes the Friday night class and a discounted ticket to the Sunday concert.
